Declutter your beauty products and help those in need

If you’re like me, you’ve probably read ALL the articles about minimalism and decluttering and you’re probably tired of looking around your place and seeing stuff everywhere. New stuff, old stuff, stuff you don’t like, stuff you don’t know where to stash. I’m big into recycling and cringe at the thought of adding more crap to our overloaded dumps for it to sit there for thousands of years. If you’re a beauty hoarder like me and have lots of unused or barely-used beauty supplies, here’s a positive solution. Now you can declutter your beauty products and donate them to women in need.

I recently found out through The Everygirl about an amazing organization called Project Beauty Share. They take donations of gently used or new beauty products for women overcoming abuse, addiction, homelessness, and poverty. We all deserve a little pick-me-up and many of these products are considered a luxury that we take for granted. If you have any of these items and you know you’re never going to use them again I hope you’ll consider donating them to help others. These simple items can help empower women to better their lives, feel confident on that job interview, and overcome depression.

There are local organizations that collect clothing used by candidates for job interviews and important life meetings. If you’re on a decluttering spree, I hope you’ll seek ways to help those around you when possible and recycle when you can.
